Community Participation
Pam Ryan Anderson is the broker of Ryan Realty, but that's not all she does! In 2004 she won the PRO REALTOR® Community award. What that means is, for 2004, she did the most volunteer work of all Realtors in Pinellas County. But just because she won the award, it hasn’t stopped her from providing community service!
In 2008 Pam stepped up to be the Executive Director of the Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV). CCV is a volunteer organization that was established in 1994, that puts on events that benefit the Clearwater community. These events include Winter Wonderland, a winter village that is free to attend, that takes 5 weeks to build (all done by volunteers) and 3 to take down. It is open to the public for several weeks every December, while open, collecting donations of food, toys and money that is given to several local charities. As well as a free Easter Egg Hunt with over 15,000 plastic Easter eggs and over 50,000 pieces of candy spread over the landscape of Coachman Park. There are also fundraisers that the Clearwater Community Volunteers do to finance their events, the biggest being a large Fashion Show and Silent Auction that is put on every year in late August.
Pam also participates in disaster relief. In 2004 she went to help in Punta Gourda and Port Charlotte in the aftermath of Hurricane Charley, handing out food, water and ice, as well as clothes and other basic necessities. And in 2005 Pam organized a group and went to Louisiana in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina (to read more about that, click here).
When the Clearwater Fire Department decided to train citizens in emergency disaster relief, Pam and her husband, Joel, were some of the first volunteers to be trained as Community Emergency Response Team members.
Pam is truly dedicated to helping those in need in her community and beyond!
